Description
The base is equipped with a high-pressure dual-area screw press which allows low-pressure priming and high-pressure control. The base incorporates hydraulic connections and high-pressure pipework, connected to a gauge mount which uses standard Budenberg high-pressure cone connections. The piston support is raised from the base to allow the use of an overhung weight set, ensuring greater stability at higher pressures. Additional support is provided in the base by means of five adjustable feet, one of which directly supports the piston and weight set.
The BGH2600 uses a well-proven patented design in its dual-area piston/cylinder unit with areas of 1/8in² and 1/160in². The transition from one range to the other is fully automated, meaning that users have an extremely versatile instrument that covers the range with a single piston/cylinder assembly and mass set. The low-pressure piston/high-pressure cylinder is made of tungsten carbide, while the other parts are made of fully hardened and stabilised tool steel.
All certificates issued for Budenberg pressure balances are fully traceable to national and international standards via equipment with UKAS calibration certificates.
